Circle Round comes to Tanglewood this summer!
We’re excited to share that WBUR’s award-winning Circle Round will be returning to Tanglewood for two events this summer! Circle Round adapts folktales from around the world into sound and music-rich radio for the young and young at heart, exploring themes like kindness, persistence and generosity, and ending with an activity that inspires deeper conversation between children and grown-ups. |

Circle Round at Tanglewood on Parade

Join WBUR’s Circle Round as they make their grand debut at Tanglewood on Parade, the BSO’s annual family fun day! On stage in the legendary Seiji Ozawa Hall, host Rebecca Sheir, composer Eric Shimelonis, and a quartet of BSO musicians, including flutist Clint Foreman, bassoonist Suzanne Nelsen, hornist Rachel Childers, and bassist Ben Levy, will premiere three brand new Circle Round stories accompanied by local actors. General seating is available in the open-air hall or on the lawn. Kids get in free but still require a ticket, so get your tickets to Tanglewood on Parade now > |

Rebecca Sheir is a narrator, writer and veteran public radio host and reporter. She is the host and writer of Circle Round, the acclaimed children's storytelling podcast distributed by WBUR, Boston’s NPR news station. She has authored picture books adapted from Circle Round episodes including "Onions and Garlic," "A Taste of Honey," "The Tale of the Unwelcome Guest," "The Great Ball Game," and "The Lion’s Whisker." |

You can be part of Circle Round history as they record three new episodes! Rebecca Sheir and Eric Shimelonis will be joined by a quartet of BSO musicians, including flutist Clint Foreman, bassoonist Suzanne Nelsen, hornist Rachel Childers, and bassist Ben Levy, plus an all-star cast of actors: Lauren Ambrose (Servant, Six Feet Under), Josh Gondelman (Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, People Pleaser), Marielle Heller (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, The Queen’s Gambit), Peter Riegert (The Mask, Animal House), and Jorma Taccone (The Lonely Island, MacGruber). It's all happening at Tanglewood’s Linde Center for Music and Learning.
